Refunds & Cancelations

We understand the importance of mental health care and the impact that it has on an individual's overall well-being. Our cancelation policy is designed to ensure that we are able to provide the best care possible to all of our patients.

Cancelation of Appointments

At Elmbrookpsych.com, we understand that life can be unpredictable and things may come up that prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment. However, as a psychiatric clinic, our time and resources are limited and we rely on our patients to keep their appointments to provide the best care possible.

 

To that end, we have a strict cancelation policy in place. We ask that you please provide us with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to open up an appointment slot for another patient who may need urgent care.

 

If you do not give us 24 hours notice or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a $100 fee. This fee will be billed to your insurance provider or will be required to be paid before your next scheduled appointment. This fee helps us to cover the cost of the missed appointment and the administrative time required to fill the slot.

 

We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances that prevent you from giving us 24 hours notice. If you are unable to provide 24 hours notice due to an emergency or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact our office as soon as possible, or the entire appointment fee shall be charged.

 

It is important to note that if you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please do not hesitate to call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

 

We understand that mental health is just as important as physical health and we want to ensure that our patients are getting the care they need. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us best serve our patients by giving adequate notice of cancellation.

 

We also want to remind our patients that if they are experiencing financial difficulties and cannot pay the cancellation fee, they can contact our office to discuss alternative payment options.
